  • Consumer Protection Portal: This is a dedicated government portal for lodging consumer complaints. The portal is integrated with NCH.

3. Choose the Appropriate Forum or Platform

  • Depending on the value of your claim and the nature of your complaint, you will have to choose the correct forum to file your complaint.
  • If your complaint is for defective goods or services valued below ₹1 crore, it should be filed at the District Consumer Forum.
  • For amounts between ₹1 crore to ₹10 crore, it goes to the State Consumer Commission.

    • Compensation or remedy you are seeking (refund, replacement, compensation, etc.).
  • You will also need to upload supporting documents like:
    • Invoice/receipt of purchase or service.
    • Proof of communication with the company (e.g., emails, letters).
    • Photographs or other evidence of the defect.
  • You may need to answer specific questions regarding the nature of the deficiency or unfair trade practice involved.

5. Upload Required Documents

  • Documents such as:
    • Receipt of purchase or transaction.
    • Warranty card (if applicable).
