In India, copyright registration is not mandatory as copyright is granted to the creator of an original work as soon as the work is created. However, registration provides legal evidence of ownership and is useful in case of any dispute. Here are the steps to register a copyright in India: Visit the official website of the Copyright Office of India (http://copyright.gov.in/). Download the application form for copyright registration. Fill in the application form with all the necessary details, including the title of the work, name and address of the author, and the date of creation. Attach a copy of the work being registered. Pay the requisite fee for registration. Submit the application along with the fee and the copy of the work being registered to the Copyright Office. Once the application is received, it will be examined to ensure that all the necessary documents and details have been provided. If everything is in order, the copyright registration certificate will be issued to the applicant. The process of copyright registration in India usually takes a few months.

Dear Client, Copyright registration helps with providing recognition and rights to the work and prevent your IP from being copied and misused. Registering your intellectual property not only provides recognition but also gives you an immunity from consequences that may have been caused through a third party. A right given to the owner of work, songs, titles, scripts, writings, patents, architectures, comes under intellectual property. The same can be registered to make these IP registered as their own belonging and to do that, registration is important. The following are the procedures to register for copyright: • The creator has to file an application at the copyrights office, along with the necessity fee and the necessary documents. • Once the application has been submitted, the documents shall be scrutinized and objections shall be raised if any, the applicant shall be given a chance to respond and submit the correct documents. • The verified documents, shall be sent to the copy rights office in Delhi within 30 days. The documents and details of the applicant shall be published in the journal for the public. • An objection can be raised by anybody who thinks it registering the application could threaten their own copyright. An examination shall be conducted. • The application shall be rejected if it does infringe someone else’s copyright rights. Provided the application has no objection raised, a certificate to recognize the copyright shall be given to the creator. The creation registered shall be valid for the lifetime and for a period of 60 years after the death of the applicant. Copyrighting provides protection to the creators work and protects both their moral and economic rights and also provides legal immunity and social security. I hope this answer helps.

Dear Client, It is important to stay cautious these days since finance fraud have been increasing quite a lot. Here are some of the ways one can avoid being frauded online and the same are listed below- 1. Stronger passwords- The preliminary protection for any kind of account is a password, make sure that the password includes characters, numbers, capital letters and the password not being anything personal and easy. 2. Double Encryption- OTP must be a necessity for every transaction including tap payment. 3. Confidentiality- Do not disclose Adhar card, PAN Card number, Credit card and Debit card numbers or answers to security questions. 4. Keep track- Tracking transaction frequently to detect any usual debit/ credit that may have gone unnoticed. 5. Be cautious- Do not respond to any messages regarding any amount being credited, gifts, offers, discounts, loan, lotteries etc. Do not give away bank information on any spam calls, do not login into suspicious websites asking for login details including bank information. Hence, these are the ways one could prevent themselves from being frauded, following these could ensure safety to an extent, if not simply to prevent it. I hope this answer helps.
