No, the police cannot beat a person they have arrested. It is illegal and against human rights. When police arrest someone, they are required to follow proper legal procedures and treat the person with respect and dignity. In many countries, including India, the use of physical force by the police is regulated by law. The police can only use reasonable force when it is necessary to make an arrest, to prevent escape or to protect themselves or others from harm. Even in these cases, the use of force must be proportionate and should not cause unnecessary harm or injury. If a person is beaten by the police while being arrested, they have the right to file a complaint and seek legal action against the officers involved. Police officers who use excessive force can be held accountable and punished for their actions. It is important to remember that everyone, including those who are arrested, have the right to be treated with dignity and respect, and to be protected from physical harm.
