To check the cause list of the Supreme Court of India, follow the steps below. The cause list provides information about the cases listed for hearing, including the court number, time, bench, and parties involved. 1. Visit the Official Website Go to: [https://main.sci.gov.in](https://main.sci.gov.in) 2. Navigate to ‘Cause List’ On the homepage, click on the ‘Cause List’ tab in the top menu. You will see several options: Daily Cause List – for the current day's list of cases Supplementary Cause List – additional matters added later Advance Cause List – future listed matters (usually a week ahead) Weekly List – for a broader view of listings Court-wise/List-wise options 3. Select the Relevant List Choose the required list (Daily, Weekly, etc.) and click on it. You can also filter by: Court number Judge name Case type or party name 4. Download or View Online The list will open as a PDF or web-based table, showing: Item number Case number and title Advocate names Bench/judge Time and court room 5. Dear Client, You may check out the Supreme Court of India’s cause list at their official website. That is the best way to see when a case is set for a hearing. Steps to Check the Cause List Go to the Official Website: Visit the Supreme Court of India’s site at sci.gov.in. Find the Cause List Section: On the home page you’ll find the “Cause List” link. It is typically in the “Services” or “Quick Links” menu. Select the Type of List: The site has a variety of lists. For the latest schedule go to the “Daily Cause List” which includes all cases for that day. Also we have the “Weekly List” and “Advance List” which are great for planning ahead. Search for Your Case: You may use the daily docket which includes case number, parties’ names, or judge’s name to conduct your search. This will in turn allow you to quickly find out your court and time of hearing. Each day’s cause list is put out the night before which in turn allows parties and their lawyers to prepare for what is to come the next day.
